It is vital for you to join with other Christians in a Bible-believing church family. The New Testament often refers to the church as the “Body of Christ” because of the unity, diversity, and interdependence of our relationship with Christ and each other (Rom. 12:1; 1 Cor. 12). In this nurturing environment, we cooperate in God’s work, investing our lives in one another, and find acceptance, encouragement, and love.

You may request membership in one of four ways.

1.                  You may become a member as you receive Jesus Christ as the Lord of your life and obey His command to be baptized by immersion.

2.                  You may become a member by informing us that you have already received Christ and believer’s baptism by immersion.

3.                  You may join us as a Christian who has not yet been baptized by allowing us the privilege of leading you through the joys of the baptism experience.

4.                  You may become a part of us by transferring your membership from another like-minded church.

Joining Jan Lee Baptist Church is not difficult. You will find an application for church membership below. Print it, fill it out and bring it to the Pastor in the public “invitation” time at the close of the service. If you would prefer, you can simply complete the form and put it into the offering plate. Our pastor, one of our deacons, or a designated member of the church will call to follow-up on your request. Another option is to call the church office at 569-1211 and inform the secretary of your desire to become a member. The pastor, one of the deacons or a designated member of the church will talk with you about your membership.

Our church offers an 8-week study, “What Every Christian Ought To Know” by Adrian Rogers, to explain our basic beliefs and practices. This is not necessarily an attempt to convince a person of our beliefs but rather to inform a person so they can make an informed decision about membership.
