DO YOU HAVE PEACE WITH GOD?

THE PROBLEM – SEPARATION FROM GOD

Romans 3:23: "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
This means everyone since Adam and Eve inherited a bent toward sin. We often say "no one is perfect" and that is exactly right except for God. We have not lived up to the expectations He has set.

THE RESULT – SPIRITUAL DEATH

Romans 6:23: "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
God is holy and just, which means that in His perfection, He is justified in punishing sin by eternally separating sin and the sinner from Himself.

THE SOLUTION – HIS DEATH IN OUR PLACE

Romans 5:8: "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
God is also love and mercy, in that He came to earth in the flesh as Jesus Christ, lived a sinless life, willingly died in our place on a cross and conquered death by His resurrection. We can be with God, not because of what we have done for Him, rather by what He has done for us.

YOUR SALVATION – BY FAITH

Romans 10:9 "If you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."
Salvation is a gift from God and cannot be bought or earned. As with any gift though, it must be received, and we receive this gift by faith. Faith is not just believing in God but also believing that He knows and loves us and that He is going to do what He promises in letting us dwell with Him forever.

YOUR REQUEST – FROM THE HEART

Romans 10:13: "Whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Dear Jesus, I agree that I am a sinner, and need you to save me from a life that is separated from you for eternity. I believe that you are the unique Son of God, that you died for me on a cross and conquered death for me through your bodily resurrection. I ask for your mercy and that you make me into a new person who follows you only. Thank you for saving me. Amen.
